6. Afterlives : Jewish and Non-Jewish Polish Survivors of Nazi Persecution in Sweden Documenting Nazi Atrocities, 1945-1946
Sammanfattning : This dissertation examines how Jewish and non-Jewish Polish survivors of Nazi persecution who came to Sweden in 1945 as ‘repatriates’ and were associated with the Polish Research Institute in Lund, Sweden (PIZ) were engaged in transnational social and political processes during the early postwar period, including documenting Nazi persecution and contributing to postwar humanitarian and justice efforts. PIZ, a transnational initiative that documented the experiences of Polish survivors of Nazi persecution for history and justice in 1945 and 1946, was one of the few such initiatives undertaken by survivors who were refugees in a country not directly involved in the Second World War. Sammanfattning : The general aim of this thesis is to explore the relations between children’s interaction and places within preschool activities. How children’s interaction opportunities are conditioned by the physical and social environment in the preschool yard (study I), as well as place-making processes in various contexts in mobile preschool activities (studies II and III), are examined within the framework of this purpose. Sammanfattning : Abstract:My dissertation is taken from an opera singer’s perspective and the aim is three-fold: · to investigate and problematize how gender and performance norms are reproduced on the opera stage· to provide tools and propose approaches to transform gender perspective and norm critique into a creative artistic practice, enabling conscious and active artistic choices in relation to gender and performance norms· to explore ways to expand the singer's artistic agency. The artistic research project draws on knowledge from both my own practice as a professional opera singer and my collaborators’ experiences from the worlds of opera, classical music and theatre. Ett återkommande drag i beskrivningarna av denna konst är att den sägs peka mot, eller handla om, individen eller individualitet; antingen som ett uttryck förkonstnärens inre liv genom fria, improviserade stråk på duken, eller i relation till sociala och historiska sammanhang där individualiteten har uppfattats som undertryckt av industrialismens effekter eller av kollektivistisk statligpolitik.
