Sammanfattning : This thesis explores aspects of teachers’ obligation to implement and discuss what are referred to in the Swedish national school curricula as “fundamental values” (“värdegrunden” in Swedish). 4. På tal om dyslexi : En studie av hur barn, föräldrar och lärare berättar om och ger betydelse åt diagnoser som dyslexi och specifika läs- och skrivsvårigheter
Sammanfattning : The main purpose of this study is to understand how children diagnosed as dyslectics use and ascribe meaning to the diagnosis given to them. The theoretical starting point is social constructionism, implying that dyslexia is a word that signifies a phenomenon, in this case children's problem with reading and writing, which in turn is mediated through a cultural, social and historical context. 5. Självklart och oklart : Mänskliga rättigheter som kunskapsinnehåll i gymnasieskolan
Sammanfattning : In 2011, human rights were introduced in the Swedish national curriculum and in subject syllabi. But what do teachers and students talk about when they talk about human rights? By examining rights language in national curricula, textbooks and teachers’ and students’ speech, the study shows how human rights are created as content through a meaning-making cultural translation process - vernacularisation.
