Sammanfattning : The aim of the thesis is to shed light on the processes produced when collective performances, here conceptualized as playing events, are performed in urban space in a specific city area, Södermalm in Stockholm between 2012 and 2017. By analyzing urban space as a changing and contradictory space, the study shows how playing events transform everyday space into a playing space. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : The primary argument in this thesis is that the common assumption that an actor has emotion inside him- or herself which can be evoked and projected outwards is an outdated misconception. A proposition is made to replace this possessive acting model, which underpins the realist tradition and is based on the popularized aspects of Stanislavsky’s system for actor training, by a situational acting model. Despite the fact that this is a common way of producing theatre in the Swedish School of Arts, little research has been done on the collective process when it is controlled by the children themselves.
