    Sammanfattning : The aim of this study is to investigate the interaction in sign language in a classroom in the special school for deaf and hard of hearing pupils. Three questions are of particular interest: What characterizes interaction in educational situations where the whole class is present compared to half the class and when the pupils in small groups are solving problems given by the teacher? How are a hearing and a deaf teacher interacting in the classroom? And How are boys and girls interacting in different educational situations?Theoretically the study is based on an educational interaction model. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis aims to contribute to the growing body of knowledge concerning the adult basic literacy education in the Nordic countries and broaden research on literacy from its traditional focus on verbal texts to include images and visual texts. The thesis comprises a research survey concerning adult literacy and two empirical, exploratory studies focusing on the use of visual texts in the basic Swedish language programme for adult immigrants, Svenskundervisning för invandrare (sfi).     Sammanfattning : This thesis explores language students and novice teachers’ assumptions and beliefs about assessment and grading, how they view themselves as assessors, and whether their opinions change over time with increased teaching experience. Besides exploring questions such as how student and novice teachers think about quality assessment, there is the question of what challenges teachers face in assessing one language (English), among many others known or spoken in the linguistically heterogeneous classroom.
