Sammanfattning : This thesis studies elementary school teachers’ language use in written assessments of students, and problematises the relation between teachers’ experiences of written assessment and the institutional and social expectations of professional language use.The study is based on three types of material: questionnaires answered by 39 teachers, interviews with 3 school principals and approximately 2,200 assessments of students, written according to three different templates. Sammanfattning : This doctoral thesis examines how Sami women were represented in Swedish and Sami press during the years 1966, 1986 and 2006. Moreover, it problematises how the image of "the Sami woman" was constructed and represented in the press, in relation to the (re)production of normality and deviance, with special attention to the concepts of ethnicity and gender. Sammanfattning : By using Norman Fairclough’s version of critical discourse analysis, this study analyzes interpretations and depictions of the Hebrew Bible in debate articles in Sweden’s four largest daily newspapers between 1987 and 2017. The study is conducted from a reception critical perspective, analyzing and criticizing dominant strategies of interpretation and assumed interpretive preferences. LÄS MER

20. Berättelser med sanningsanspråk : Språklig och multimodal argumentation i huvudförhandling och dom
Sammanfattning : The pupose is to study stories about crime, mythopoesis, via the modalities of speech, text and image and to problematise movements of texts that originate in other contexts and institutions. The study examines how and why rhetorical strategies are used to legitimise and delegitimise the content of speeches, texts and images in trials and how relations of influence occur between plaintiffs and defendants in written judgements.
