1. Becoming a Parent of a Child with Intellectual Disability
Sammanfattning : When a child is diagnosed with intellectual disability (ID) parents’ reactions differ; some parents experience increased levels of stress and depression, while others find meaning in the duty of caring for a child with special needs. Parents’ reactions to diagnosis have also been found to be versatile within the person, with many parents expressing emotions that may be contradictory. LÄS MER
2. Properties in New Complex Perovskite-Related Materials, a Matter of Composition and Structure
Sammanfattning : This PhD thesis presents investigations of perovskite-related compounds in systems of interest for applications in components in solid oxide fuel cells. The compound compositions derive from substitutions in the parent compounds LaCoO3, LaCrO3 and SrFeO3. LÄS MER

4. Traces in Earth's geological record of the break-up of the L-chondrite parent body 470 Ma
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with signatures in sediments on Earth related to the L-chondrite parent body break-up event at 470 Ma. The aim of this thesis is twofold: (1) investigate if the increased flux of extraterrestrial material to Earth, following the disruption of the L-chondrite parent body included larger, asteroid-sized bodies (2) try to develop new methods and tools for finding and classifying relict cosmic material in sediments. 5. Modelling and Characterisation of the Martensite Formation in Low Alloyed Carbon Steels
Sammanfattning : The current work contains experimental and theoretical work about the formation of martensite from the austenitic state of the steel Hardox 450. Simulation of rolling and subsequent quenching of martensitic steel plates requires a model that can account for previous deformation, current stresses and the temperature history, therefore dilatometry experiments were performed, with and without deformation.
