21. Studies on the Gamma Radiation Environment in Sweden with Special Reference to 137Cs
Sammanfattning : Gamma radiation in the environment today mainly originates from naturally occurring radionuclides, but anthropogenic radionuclides, such as 137Cs, contribute in some areas. In order to assess population exposure in case of fallout from nuclear weapons (NWF) or accidents, knowledge and monitoring of external gamma radiation and radionuclide concentrations in the environment is important. 22. Human Metabolism and Ecological Transfer of Radioactive Caesium
Sammanfattning : The whole-body content of radiocaesium was measured in a South-Swedish urban group of people residing in the city of Lund (55.7°N, 13.2°E) between 1960 and 1994. LÄS MER
23. High-sensitivity Radioactive Xenon Monitoring and High-accuracy Neutron-proton Scattering Measurements
Sammanfattning : Two aspects of applied nuclear physics have been studied in this thesis; Monte Carlo simulations for high-sensitivity monitoring of radioactive xenon and high-accuracy neutron-proton scattering measurements for neutron physics applications and fundamental physics. The Monte Carlo simulations have been performed for two systems for detection of radioactive xenon, using the MCNP code. LÄS MER
24. Rapid analysis of actinide isotopes using quadrupole ICP-MS for emergency preparedness and environmental monitoring
Sammanfattning : Transuranium elements in the environment are mainly derived from nuclear weapons testing and the nuclear fuel cycle. Of growing concern are illicit nuclear trafficking and the threat of terror acts. LÄS MER
25. Drömmen om en gränslös fred : Världsmedborgarrörelsens reaktopi, 1949-1968
Sammanfattning : In postwar France, a new movement – Citoyens du Monde – emerged with the aim to unite people across the world around the political target of achieving world peace through dissolving the national borders and establishing a worldwide society. In 1949, Världsmedborgarrörelsen (the World Citizen Movement) was established in Sweden as the 21st branch of the movement and represented the new ism mondialism. LÄS MER
