  1. 1. In situ Sequencing : Methods for spatially-resolved transcriptome analysis

    Författare :Marco Mignardi; Mats Nilsson; Xiaoliang Sunney Xie; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Padlock probes; rolling circle amplification; in situ sequencing; spatially-resolved transcriptomics; molecular diagnostics; biokemi; Biochemistry;

    Sammanfattning : It is well known that cells in tissues display a large heterogeneity in gene expression due to differences in cell lineage origin and variation in the local environment at different sites in the tissue, a heterogeneity that is difficult to study by analyzing bulk RNA extracts from tissue. Recently, genome-wide transcriptome analysis technologies have enabled the analysis of this variation with single-cell resolution. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Visualizing Interacting Biomolecules In Situ

    Författare :Irene Weibrecht; Ola Söderberg; Ulf Landegren; Banafshe Larijani; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; proximity ligation; in situ PLA; padlock probe; rolling circle amplification; flow cytometry; in situ; single cell; single molecule; protein interaction; protein-DNA interaction; posttranslational modification; Molecular medicine; Molekylär medicin; Molekylär medicin; Molecular Medicine;

    Sammanfattning : Intra- and intercellular information is communicated by posttranslational modifications (PTMs) and protein-protein interactions, transducing information over cell membranes and to the nucleus. A cells capability to respond to stimuli by several highly complex and dynamic signaling networks provides the basis for rapid responses and is fundamental for the cellular collaborations required in a multicellular organism. 3. 3. High-grade spondylolisthesis in young patients : Long-term results of in situ fusion

    Författare :Anders Joelson; Per Wretenberg; Karin Frennered; Hans Tropp; Örebro universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this long-term follow-up of 38 of 40 consecutive patients was to evaluate the results of uninstrumented in situ fusion for high-grade isthmic spondylolisthesis three decades after surgery. The mean age at surgery was 14 (range 9-24) years. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Neuropeptide Y Receptors in Human, Guinea pig and Chicken : Cloning, in vitro Pharmacology and in situ Hybridization

    Författare :Sara Holmberg; Helen Cox; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Neurosciences; G-protein coupled receptor; neuropeptide Y; neuropeptide Y receptor; ortholog; chicken; guinea pig; mutagenesis; receptor computer modeling; mRNA in situ hybridization; Neurovetenskap; Neurology; Neurologi; medicinsk farmakologi; Medical Pharmacology;

    Sammanfattning : Neuropeptide Y (NPY) is known to influence a vast number of physiological and behavioral processes such as vasoconstriction, circadian rhythms, feeding, anxiety and memory. Peptides of the NPY family bind to five different cloned G-protein coupled receptor subtypes (Y1, 2, 4-6). LÄS MER

  5. 5. Prognosis in carcinoma in situ of the breast

    Författare :Fredrik Wärnberg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Surgery; Breast carcinoma; ductal carcinoma in situ; lobular carcinoma in situ; prognosis; histopathological grade; p53; c-erbB-2; Ki 67; Bcl-2; hormone receptors; angiogenesis; Kirurgi; Surgery; Kirurgi; Surgery; kirurgi;

    Sammanfattning : The incidence of breast cancer is rising steadily in Sweden and the proportion of carcinoma in situ (CIS) has increased appreciably, most likely due to mammography screening. The aim of this study was twofold: (1) to examine risk factors for subsequent invasive breast carcinoma and breast cancer death after primary ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) and (2) to study the biology in the progress between in situ and invasive carcinoma.
