  1. 1. Neutron induced light-ion production from iron and bismuth at 175 MeV

    Sammanfattning : Light-ions (protons, deuterons, tritons, 3He and α articles) production in the interaction of 175 MeV neutrons with iron and bismuth has been measured using the Medley setup at the The Svedberg Laboratory (TSL) in Uppsala. These measurements have been conducted in the frame of an international collaboration whose aim is to provide the scientific community with new nuclear data of interest for the development of Accelerator Driven Systems, in the range of 20 to 200 MeV.     Sammanfattning : The reaction dd → 4Heππ has been measured exclusively for the first time. The measurements were performed at Td = 712 MeV and Td = 1029 MeV, with the WASA detector assembly at CELSIUS (Uppsala-Sweden). The aim was to investigate a long standing puzzle, the so called ABC effect. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Characteristics of the electromagnetic calorimeter of PANDA (anti-Proton ANnihilations at DArmstadt), one of the key experiments at FAIR, have been measured at the tagged photon beam facility at MAX-lab for 61 energies in the range 12-63 MeV. The tested detector array consisted of 5x5 PbWO4 (lead tungstate) crystals designed for the forward end-cap. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : In 1999 scientists in Dubna announced the successful synthesis of the nucleus 283112 by the reaction 48Ca+ 238U, with a cross-section of 5.0 pb. The isotope was found to decay by spontaneous fission (t1/2=81 s). LÄS MER
