Sammanfattning : This doctoral artistic research project addresses the possibility of a dance withdrawn from that neoliberal scheme accordingto which self-performance, entrepreneurship and the production of subjectivity rule. Taking as a starting point the dissident corporealities that have emerged in the last fifty years in Western contemporary experimental dance; the project involvesaesthetic, philosophical and socio-political perspectives, carried out on choreographic, performative, textual, audiovisual, curatorial and discursive media. Sammanfattning : Abstract: This thesis examines the non-dominant and self-subversive aspects of visuality in Roberto Bolaño’s 2666 through the lens of the philosophical discussion on representation, particularly in its post-structuralist context. The present research is grounded in the conviction that 2666 embodies the 20th-century crisis of representation and approaches the novel through an analysis of different aspects of the text’s visuality, because, ever since Plato’s Republic, representation has been conceptualised mostly in terms of vision. Sammanfattning : The aim of the study is to make visible a field of conflicting narratives of modern Sweden expressed by different political groups and to contribute to the working through of the conflict of interpretation. Four political challenges to the established success story of Sweden's development from a poor society to modern welfare state, are analysed: the Left in the 1960s, the new Women's movement in the 1970s, the Alternative movement and the Environmental Party in the late 1970s and early 1980s and, finally, the liberal challenge of the Moderates in the 1980s. Sammanfattning : In recent decades, a ‘Haitian Turn’ has emerged as both academic and public readerships in the anglophone sphere have been flooded by a wave of essays, articles, and monographs on the Haitian Revolution (1791–1804). At the epicentre of the present study is one of the major interpretations of the Haitian Revolution in the Haitian Turn, which I call the ‘universality paradigm’. LÄS MER
