    Sammanfattning : This thesis explores a period in Northern Sweden when contacts between Sami and non-Sami became more frequent as the colonisation progressed. The investigated period is 1722-1895 and eight parishes in northern Sweden are under study. Both the northern as well as the southern Sami area are represented. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The thesis studies how and why ethnicity was used as a ground for separation in order to establish education that was segregated from the normal teaching in elementary schools. The thesis focuses on the educational policy targeted at Gypsies, vagrants and nomadic reindeer-herding Sámi. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the development of nomadic and Sámi school education between the 1950s and the 2010s and contributes new knowledge about educational goals, educational ambitions and partly also their implementation and principles for knowledge transfer. It has previously been shown that the educational policy objectives for Sámi education, from the 1962 school reform onwards, have been characterized by linguistic and cultural preservation considerations.
