Sammanfattning : This thesis explores a period in Northern Sweden when contacts between Sami and non-Sami became more frequent as the colonisation progressed. The investigated period is 1722-1895 and eight parishes in northern Sweden are under study. Both the northern as well as the southern Sami area are represented. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Evolution of Membrane Bound Proteins and their Ligands : The Melanocortin (MC) Receptor Inverse Agonists AgRP2, ASIP2, Drug/Metabolite Transporters, and SPNS1

Författare :Åke Västermark; Helgi Schiöth; Arne Elofsson; Uppsala universitet; []

Sammanfattning : Integral membrane proteins play a key role hormonal and neuronal signaling. Transmembrane helix (TM) proteins form about 27% of the human proteome. Furthermore, 44% of the human drug targets are receptors, and 19% of these are seven-transmembrane domain receptors (GPCRs), which constitute 4% of the entire protein-coding genome. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : The Fennoscandian Shield as a part of a large Precambrian basement area is located in northern Europe and hosts economically important mineral deposits including base metals and precious metals. Regional geophysical data such as potential field and magnetotelluric data in combination with other geoscientific data contain information of importance for an understanding of the crustal and upper mantle structure. 4. 4. Integrated analyses and interpretations of regional scale magnetotelluric and potential field data from the Precambrian crust of northern Sweden

Författare :Roshanak Vadoodi; Thorkild Maack Rasmussen; Maxim Smirnov; Björn H. Heincke; Luleå tekniska universitet; []

Sammanfattning : The Norrbotten region in northern Sweden, as a part of the Fennoscandian (Baltic) Shield, is one of the most active mining areas in Europe. It is acknowledged that geological structures such as faults, shear zones, and associated fracture systems play a key role in providing a physical pathway connecting metal sources and the sites of mineral precipitation.
