  1. 1. Teaching for the learning of additive part-whole relations : The power of variation and connections

    Författare :Anna-Lena Ekdahl; Ulla Runesson Kempe; Hamsa Venkat; Camilla Björklund; Christiane Benz; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; variation; variation theory; connections in teaching; making connections; early numbers; teaching and learning additive relations; part-whole relation; part-whole relations of numbers; intervention study;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, results from four empirical studies and a re-analysis are synthesized with what can constitute a structural approach to teaching and learning additive part-whole relations among learners aged four to eight years. In line with a structural approach to additive relations, the relations of parts and whole are in focus from the outset and are seen as the basis for addition and subtraction (Davydov 1982; Neuman, 1987). 2. 2. Konzeptuelle Struktur und materielle Manifestation : Nominale Part-Whole-Konstruktionen aus einer typologischen Perspektive

    Författare :Daniel Ormelius; Tyska; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; typological patterns; spatial representations; conceptual structures; morphosyntactic structures; ‘part-whole’ constructions; boundedness; internal structure; quantification; referentiality; quantifier phrase; noun phrase; determiner phrase; German language and literatur; Tyska språk och litteratur ;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to investigate the relation between intrasubjective mental representations – ‘conceptual structures’ – and their intersubjectively available material manifestation, in particular morphosyntactic representations. Such an investigation presupposes the analysis of not only extralinguistically established modules but also of structural levels that are inherent components of the language system. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Bit : an examination of the explanatory power of a meaning potential approach to the description of lexical meaning

    Författare :Jenny Hartman; Carita Paradis; Britt Erman; Elizabeth C. Traugott; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; cognitive semantics; construal; configurations; SCALE; INDIVIDUATION; DEGREE; EXTENT; AMOUNT; PART-WHOLE; English; engelska;

    Sammanfattning : Through a detailed examination of the use of the lexical item bit in four English language corpora, this study assesses whether the assumptions guiding a meaning potential perspective on lexical meaning (e.g. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Relationer eller operationer - två sidor av samma mynt : Elevers utforskande av en del-helhetsmodell som redskap för att urskilja relationer i additiva strukturer

    Författare :Charlotta Andersson; Lisa Björklund Boistrup; Inger Eriksson; Angelika Kullberg; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; learning model; part-whole structure; equations; negative numbers; learning activity; learning study; lärandemodell; del-helhetsstruktur; lärandeverksamhet; tematisk analys; ekvationer; Mathematics Education; matematikämnets didaktik;

    Sammanfattning : Syftet med denna licentiatuppsats är att pröva en specifik strukturell modell som stöd för elevers utforskande av relationer mellan tal i additiva strukturer även när negativa tal är inkluderade. En intention är att resultatet ska kvalificera undervisningen och utgöra ett stöd vid planering och genomförande av en undervisning avseende ekvationer med additiv struktur utifrån algebraisk undervisning som alternativ till att i första hand finna en lösning med stöd av regler och procedurer. 5. 5. Implementing Cognitive Semantics

    Författare :Kenneth Holmqvist; Humanistlaboratoriet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES;

    Sammanfattning : This book is about how concepts are structured and processed. It is based on the findings in cognitive linguistics over the last decade, where thorough studies have been made about how concepts function. Concepts appear as image schemata, a spatial form of representation with very powerful properties. LÄS MER
