  1. 1. Konstruktioner som fungerar : En studie av teknikkunnande i de tidiga skolåren

    Författare :Eva Björkholm; Ingrid Carlgren; Maria Andrée; Marc De Vries; Berit Bungum; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; technology education; primary school; Learning study; phenomenography; variation theory; knowledge; knowing; utbildningsvetenskap med inriktning mot praktiska kunskapstraditioner; Educational Sciences in Arts and Professions; Teknikvetenskapens lärande och kommunikation;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to explore the meaning of technical knowing in primary technology education. This is done by identifying and describing ways of knowing in relation to specific content (so-called objects of learning) of the school subject of technology. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Teaching for the learning of additive part-whole relations : The power of variation and connections

    Författare :Anna-Lena Ekdahl; Ulla Runesson Kempe; Hamsa Venkat; Camilla Björklund; Christiane Benz; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; variation; variation theory; connections in teaching; making connections; early numbers; teaching and learning additive relations; part-whole relation; part-whole relations of numbers; intervention study;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, results from four empirical studies and a re-analysis are synthesized with what can constitute a structural approach to teaching and learning additive part-whole relations among learners aged four to eight years. In line with a structural approach to additive relations, the relations of parts and whole are in focus from the outset and are seen as the basis for addition and subtraction (Davydov 1982; Neuman, 1987). 3. 3. People in Between : Ethncity and Material Identity, a New Approach to Deconstructed Concepts

    Författare :Charlotta Hillerdal; Frands Herschend; Johan Rönnby; Neil Price; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; ethnicity; materiality; cultural identity; cultural practice; Viking Age; Varangians; Russia; Métis; Canada; colonialism; post-colonial; Romantic philosophy; indigenous; Ruhnu; Estonia; authenticity; national identity; Viking Age towns; Scandinavia; town formation; discontinuity; Archaeology; Arkeologi; arkeologi; Archaeology; Östersjö- och Östeuropaforskning;

    Sammanfattning : In questions concerning ethnicity and cultural identity in prehistory, there is a great divide between the conclusions maintained on a theoretical level of discussion and the interpretations given to material remains, when these theories are practiced on the archaeological material. Inherited scientific and political structures, usage and ideas contribute to our understanding of ethnicity and the everyday use of the concept, and influence archaeological interpretations. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Variation Simulation Customized for Composites by Including FEM Simulations of Orthotropic Lamina

    Författare :Cornelia Jareteg; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Geometry assurance; FEM; Composites; Shell model; Process variation; Method of Influence Coefficients; Monte Carlo; Orthotropic material; Manufacturing; Tolerance analysis; Variation simulation; Spring-in; Tolerance analysis;

    Sammanfattning : The use of composite materials is increasing in many fields of production. Composite manufacturing, as well as other fields of production, suffers from uncertainties resulting in products that deviate from the specification. Geometry assurance is a common procedure used to keep the variations in product assemblies under control. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Machinability variations in alloy 718 turbine components

    Författare :Pajazit Avdovic; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; variation in tool; hardness; Machining; flank wear; notch wear; alloy 718; grain size; instability; variation in material;

    Sammanfattning : Machinability Variations in Alloy 718 Turbine Components PAJAZIT AVDOVIC Department of Materials and Manufacturing TechnologyChalmers University of Technology AbstractAlloy 718 has a reputation for being very troublesome during the cutting process. It was suspected that this material was too hard and having too fine grain size and that these characteristics caused damage to cutting tools during processing. LÄS MER
