11. Normaliserade föräldrar : en undersökning av Försäkringskassans broschyrer 1974–2007
Sammanfattning : The main purpose of this dissertation is to analyse and identify problems arising from the Swedish Social Insurance Agency’s (SSIA) perceptions of parents, as they appear in the brochures targeted at expectant or new parents between 1974 and 2007. The aim is to distinguish who are being pointed out, constructed, and normalised as parents; and to analyse the functions of the recipients and the senders respectively. LÄS MER
12. Crossing Boundaries : Transferring eHealth services across the Northern Periphery

13. Spelling Normalisation and Linguistic Analysis of Historical Text for Information Extraction
Sammanfattning : Historical text constitutes a rich source of information for historians and other researchers in humanities. Many texts are however not available in an electronic format, and even if they are, there is a lack of NLP tools designed to handle historical text. LÄS MER
14. Dark matter signal normalisation for dwarf spheroidal galaxies : A frequentist analysis of stellar kinematics for indirect Dark Matter searches
Sammanfattning : Indirect detection strategies of Dark Matter (DM) entail searching for signals of DM annihilation or decay, typically in the form of excess positrons or high-energy photons above the astrophysical background, originating from (inferred) DM-rich environments. Due to their characteristics, dwarf spheroidal satellite galaxies (dSphs) of the Milky Way are considered very promising targets for indirect particle DM identification. LÄS MER
15. Heat demand profiles of buildings' energy conservation measures and their impact on renewable and resource efficient district heating systems
Sammanfattning : Increased energy performance of the building stock of European Union is seen as an important measure towards mitigating climate change, increasing resource utilisation efficiency and energy supply security. Whether to improve the supply-side, the demand-side or both is an open issue. LÄS MER
