    Sammanfattning : When it comes to cleaning, cooking and washing, having a child means that the demand for resources increases for the household to be able to uphold the same standards with the same production methods, as at the time before having a child.     Sammanfattning : The main purpose of this dissertation is to analyse and identify problems arising from the Swedish Social Insurance Agency’s (SSIA) perceptions of parents, as they appear in the brochures targeted at expectant or new parents between 1974 and 2007.
