  1. 16. Implicit and explicit norm in contemporary Russian verbal stress

    Författare :Elisabeth Marklund Sharapova; Sven Gustavsson; Ludmila Ferm; Lars Steensland; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Slavic and Baltic languages - general; language norm; implicit norm; explicit norm; language normativisation; language normalisation; codification; Russian; stress; verbal stress; accentology; orthoepy; Slaviska och baltiska språk - allmänt; Slavic languages; Slaviska språk; Slaviska språk; Slavic Languages;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis is to investigate norm in contemporary Russian verbal stress. In a first step the concept of norm is explored. It is shown that the criteria generally used in Russian for defining norm (correspondence to the language system, usage and authority/tradition/necessity) are not applied strictly. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Motion analysis of the knee : kinematic artifacts, EMG normalisation and joint forces

    Författare :Daniel L Benoit; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :Knee; tibiofemoral joint; kinematics; anterior cruciate ligament; ACL; bone pin; markers; neuromuscular adaptation; electromyography; normalisation; skin movement artifact; joint forces; ski injury; ski boot;

    Sammanfattning : The non-contact anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury is the most common and serious debilitating knee joint injury in male and female athletes. To create an ACL injury paradigm that will lead to improved treatment and prevention it is necessary to understand how ACL injuries occur. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Risky distances : Peripheralisation and normalisation in the case of a maternity ward closure in Sweden

    Författare :Emelie Larsson; Katarina Giritli Nygren; Anna Olofsson; Sirpa Wrede; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis explores risk, peripheralisation and normalisation in the case of the maternity ward closure at Sollefteå Hospital, located inland in the Swedish region of Västernorrland. When the ward closed in 2017, it drew significant media attention and political discussions on the continuous cuts to Swedish maternity care and the growing economic gap between urban and rural areas – discussions that actualised questions of power and risk. 4. 19. Functional Program Correctness Through Types

    Författare :Nils Anders Danielsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; well-typed syntax; normalisation by evaluation; program correctness; total languages; partial languages; lazy evaluation; time complexity; strong invariants; dependent types;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the problem of avoiding errors in functionalprograms. The thesis has three parts, discussing different aspects ofprogram correctness, with the unifying theme that types are anintegral part of the methods used to establish correctness. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Bias and Precision in Biomechanical Exposure Assessment : Making the Most of our Methods

    Författare :Jennie Jackson; Svend Erik Mathiassen; Eva Vingård; Mikael Forsman; Peter Johnson; Högskolan i Gävle; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; measurement strategy; accuracy; inclinometry; electromyography; EMG; upper arm; shoulder; low back; lumbar; thoracic; Health-Promoting Work; Hälsofrämjande arbete;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Insufficient exposure assessment is a suggested contributing factor to the current lack of clearly characterised relationships between occupational biomechanical risk factors and musculoskeletal disorders. Minimal attention has been paid to the potential bias of measurement tools from expected true values (i.e. LÄS MER
