16. Instrumentation, Control and Automation in Anaerobic Digestion
Sammanfattning : Anaerobic digestion (AD) is a biochemical process in nature. It has been used to decompose organic waste in order to reduce environmental pollution, and to destroy pathogenic microorganisms for the protection of human and animal health. The process itself produces methane, which can then be used as an energy source. LÄS MER
17. Computationally efficient exact remodeling of optimization programs with applications to autonomous driving
Sammanfattning : The future of autonomous vehicles is rapidly approaching and the published and available research, both from vehicle manufacturers and universities, is abundant. This new technology promises less pollution, lower accident rates, decreased congestion and the possibility to relax or work while a vehicle takes you where you need to go. LÄS MER

19. Preventative environmental strategies in the service sector
Sammanfattning : Preventative environmental approaches (e.g. Cleaner Production and Pollution Prevention) have been successfully implemented in the manufacturing industry. They are, however, far from being fully adopted by all society actors. LÄS MER
20. Microbial Degradation of Toxaphene
Sammanfattning : This works deals with the degradation of a group of recalcitrant compounds known as toxaphene. Toxaphene is a complex mixture of chlorinated compounds including hexa- and octachlorocamphenes, hepta-, nona- and decachlorobornanes. Some components of toxaphene are very persistent while others are degraded rapidly by both abiotic and biotic processes. LÄS MER
