  1. 1. Meristem Maintenance in Arabidopsis thaliana

    Författare :Alessia Para; Annika Sundås Larsson; Jan Traas; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; Life sciences and physical sciences; Arabidopsis thaliana; development; shoot apical meristem; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : The shoot apical meristem (SAM) is the structure that shapes the aerial architecture of the plant, by producing lateral organs throughout development. In the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana, the SAM is always identifiable as a characteristic dome, whether it is found in the centre of a rosette of leaves or at the tip of an inflorescence. LÄS MER

  2. 2. FtsH metalloproteases and their pseudo-proteases in the chloroplast envelope of Arabidopsis thaliana

    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; Arabidopsis thaliana; AAA-ATPases; abscisic acid; chloroplast; drought; embryo-lethal; FtsH metalloprotease; intrinsic water-use efficiency WUEi ; leaf variegation; outdoor conditions; oxidative stress; plastid biogenesis; proteomics; protein import; root-associated bacterial communities seedlings; Biochemistry; biokemi; molekylärbiologi; Molecular Biology; biology; biologi;

    Sammanfattning : By cleaving peptide bonds, proteases either activate or degrade proteins and maintain protein quality control in response to various developmental stimuli and environmental factors. My work has focused on elucidating the role of the filamentation temperature sensitive protein H (FtsH) proteases. LÄS MER

  3. 3. MAPK-associated proteins in Arabidopsis thaliana

    Författare :Carolin Sörensson; Biologiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; PHS2; stomata; signalling; Arabidopsis thaliana; MKS80; MAPK;

    Sammanfattning : Abstract Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinases (MAPKs) are signalling proteins that are highly conserved among eukaryotes. They are involved in many biological pathways including cell differentiation and response to different stress situations. LÄS MER

  4. 4. HDZip I Transcription Factors in Arabidopsis thaliana : Expression and Function in Relation to Environmental Stress Conditions

    Författare :Anna S. B. Olsson; Peter Engström; Eva Söderman; Pieter B. F. Ouwerkerk; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; Biology; homeodomain leucine zipper; ABA; transcription factor; water deficit; Arabidopsis thaliana; Biologi; Biology; Biologi;

    Sammanfattning : The homeodomain leucine zipper (HDZip) proteins constitute a plant-specific family of transcription factors, that based on sequence criteria have been grouped into four classes, HDZip I-IV. This thesis describes the phylogeny, function, expression patterns and regulation of the HDZip class I genes in the model species Arabidopsis thaliana. LÄS MER
