  1. 1. Homo Clima : Klimatmänniskan och den produktiva makten - styrning genom klimatförändring som bioestetisk inramning

    Författare :Annika Skoglund; Monica Lindgren; Lars Strannegård; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Homo Clima; Climate Change; Foucault; Bioaesthetics; Population; Economy; Technology; Governmentality; Regementalitet; Klimatförändring; Homo Clima; Bioestetik; Medborgare; Befolkning; Ekonomi; Teknik; Foucault; Business studies; Företagsekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : Former creative resistance to environmentally hazardous activities has during the last decades, through discussions on climate change, been increasingly reoriented by meteorology, expert knowledge and policy discourse. The ecological system’s perspective on climate change, proclaiming the human not simply as a disturbance in a natural balancing system, but as changing it, has become a causal model for the possibility to change that human.     Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; geodetic reference system; geoid potential; global vertical datum; climate change; global warming; mass change; ice melting; sea-level change; remote sensing; satellite gravimetry; geodetiska referenssystem; geopotential; globala vertikala datum; klimatförändring; global uppvärmning; massförändring; issmältning; havsnivåförändring; fjärranalys; satellitgravimetri;

    Sammanfattning : Our complex planet is continuously undergoing temporal and spatial changes. In this context, ongoing processes in the Earth subsystems (geosphere, biosphere, cryosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere) cause changes in the gravity field of the Earth across a wide range of temporal and spatial scales. Sammanfattning : Biochar – the carbon rich residue derived from biomass pyrolysis – is recognised as a potential solution to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, while simultaneously delivering socio-environmental benefits through biochar use as a material. Perceived as a sustainable innovation, biochar has raised interest throughout the world. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Between the local and the global: climate, local governments, networks The notion of an ongoing global warming is shared by a large number of researchers and decision-makers around the world. Through the act of signing the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change a majority of the world's naitons have accepted the idea of human induced climate change, and to develop national climate change mitigation programmes. 5. 5. To leak or not to leak? : Land‐Use Displacement and Carbon Leakage from Forest Conservation

    Författare :Sabine Henders; Madelene Ostwald; Martin Persson; Julie Wilk; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Climate change; land‐use change and deforestation; accounting methods; consumer and producer responsibility; REDD ; Klimatförändring; markanvändning och avskogning; redovisningsmetoder; konsument‐ och producentansvaret; REDD ;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the question how emissions from land‐use displacement can be assessed and accounted for, using the example of carbon‐leakage accounting in the planned UNFCCC mechanism on ‘Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation’ (REDD). REDD serves here as example of an international forest conservation policy that might be effective locally but could lead to displacement of deforestation to other countries. LÄS MER
