Sammanfattning : The prion particle, PrPSc, is an infectious, misfolded form of the cellular prion protein, PrPC that is expressed at high levels in the central nervous system. This purpose is addressed with qualitative research methods, and with a focus on three themes: intertextual relations, representations of the elderly, and constructions of the purposefulness of the initiative.
