Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to study representations of identity and (in)visibility in Swedish lesbian novels written in the 1930s, and to provide a summary of Swedish lesbian literature up to the early 21st century. With her biography shaped by mobility, and political and cultural changes, Helvig is particularly suitable for examining the importance of gender and nationality as well as network contacts for the work and influence of women writers around 1800.
