   Sammanfattning : Avhandlingen undersöker hur ungdomar som nyligen har kommit till Sverige upplever sin vardag, i och utanför skolan, under den första tiden efter migrationen, samt hur de ser på sin framtid i det svenska samhället. Studien bygger på intervjuer med 45 ungdomar i åldern 16 - 20, som alla studerar på gymnasieprogrammet språkintroduktion. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : In this dissertation, the lives of five young people living in Norrköping follows for five years (1998 – 2002) through fieldwork involving observations and recurring interviews.The objective of the study is to describe and analyse the development into adulthood and the creation of a (cultural) identity among a group of young people in a town, which used to be heavily working class.    Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of a quantitative and a qualitative study. The quantitative study (articles I-III) aimed to examine how self-reported health in adolescence is associated with behavioral, parental, and school factors. Through a survey directed at all adolescents in grades 7-9, data were collected in 2005 in a region in northern Sweden (n=5060). LÄS MER
