  1. 6. Models for Estimation of Software Faults and Failures in Inspection and Test

    Författare :Per Runeson; Institutioner vid LTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; failures; usage based testing; usage model; statistical testing; faults; capture-recapture; inspections; software quality; software reliability; experiments; Computer science; numerical analysis; systems; control; Datalogi; numerisk analys; system; kontroll;

    Sammanfattning : In software engineering, the quality of software and in particular the software reliability has to be controlled and improved. Hence there is a need for measuring and controlling the number and appearance of software faults and failures. LÄS MER

  2. 7. The Nuclear Waters of the Soviet Union : Hydro-Engineering and Technocratic Culture in the Nuclear Industry

    Författare :Achim Klüppelberg; Per Högselius; Kati Lindström; Anna Storm; Melanie Arndt; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Nuclear power; water; technocratic culture; USSR; energy system; hydro-nuclear entanglements; Atomkraft; Wasser; technokratische Kultur; Sowjetunion; Energiesystem; hydronukleare Verflechtungen; Kärnkraft; vatten; teknokratisk kultur; Sovjetunionen; energisystem; hydronukleära sammanflätningar; History of Science; Technology and Environment; Historiska studier av teknik; vetenskap och miljö;

    Sammanfattning : After the development of nuclear weapons, civil applications were seen as a way through which protagonists of Soviet modernity could embrace a new future, which Josephson called atomic-powered communism. Where hydro-powered communism had reached its boundaries, nuclear energy was to take over. LÄS MER

  3. 8. On the low primary water stress corrosion cracking susceptibility of weld deformed Alloy 690

    Författare :Rickard Shen; Pål Efsing; Jonas Faleskog; Grace Burke; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Hållfasthetslära; Solid Mechanics; Teknisk materialvetenskap; Materials Science and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : It has been shown in recent years that the nickel-base Alloy 690 can become susceptible to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) in the primary water of nuclear power plants with pressurized water reactors if it has been sufficiently deformed at room temperature. Although the material is not intentionally used in a deformed state, it can become deformed by various manufacturing processes. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Anti-nuclear Movements in Discursive and Political Contexts : Between Expert Voices and Local Protests

    Författare :Ekaterina Tarasova; Mai-Brith Schartau; Björn Hassler; Marta Reuter; Södertörns högskola; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; social movements; nuclear energy; discourse; action repertoires; protests; Nuclear Renaissance; Russia; Poland; Sweden; Politics; Economy and the Organization of Society; Politik; ekonomi och samhällets organisering; Östersjö- och Östeuropaforskning; Baltic and East European studies;

    Sammanfattning : Energy policies which maintain and extend nuclear energy are often opposed by anti-nuclear movements. Ambitious plans for developing nuclear energy in Russia, constructing a first nuclear plant in Poland, and lifting the ban on nuclear energy while allowing the replacement of old reactors in Sweden are examples of such energy policies. 5. 10. 14C Produced by Nuclear Power Reactors - Generation and Characterization of Gaseous, Liquid and Solid Waste

    Författare :Åsa Magnusson; Kärnfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; waste disposal; spent ion-exchange resins; mass balance assessment; Nuclear physics; environmental impact; Fysicumarkivet A:2007:Magnusson; nuclear power plant; Kärnfysik; Carbon-14;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents the results from studies on carbon-14 produced by nuclear power reactors. Radioactive 14C enters the carbon cycle and can be taken up by humans, where it will constitute a potential health hazard. LÄS MER
