  1. 1. Programmed Cell Death in Xylem Development

    Detta är en avhandling från Plant Physiology Department - Umeå Plant Science Centre

    Författare :Laetitia Charleen Courtois-Moreau; Hannele Tuominen; Stefan Jansson; Christina Dixelius; [2008]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; PCD Programmed Cell Death ; Xylem; Apoptosis; Autophagy; Secondary Cell Walls; Microscopy; Microarrays; Comet Assay; TUNEL Assay; NATURAL SCIENCES Biology Cell and molecular biology; NATURVETENSKAP Biologi Cell- och molekylärbiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Concerns about climate changes and scarcity of fossil fuels are rising. Hence wood is becoming an attractive source of renewable energy and raw material and these new dimensions have prompted increasing interest in wood formation in trees, in both the scientific community and wider public. 2. 2. Eosinophil Apoptosis

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala University Library

    Författare :Kristina Seton; Joachim Lundahl; [2003]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cell biology; Apoptosis; Programmed Cell Death; Survival; Eosinophils; Inflammatory Diseases; Resolution of inflammation; Functions; Flow cytometry; Cellbiologi; NATURAL SCIENCES Biology Cell and molecular biology Cell biology; NATURVETENSKAP Biologi Cell- och molekylärbiologi Cellbiologi; Clinical Chemistry; klinisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Apoptosis or programmed cell death is crucial for the resolution of inflammation, and phagocytosis of apoptotic cells initiates the release of actively anti-inflammatory responses from the phagocytes. Eosinophils are one of the most potent inflammatory cells in the body and is involved in a number of diseases, most commonly associated with parasitic infections and allergic diseases. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Signal transduction pathways involved in PDGF receptor-induced cellular responses

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Roya Hooshmand-Rad; [1998]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cell biology; Cellbiologi; MEDICINE Morphology; cell biology; pathology Cell biology; MEDICIN Morfologi; cellbiologi; patologi Cellbiologi; medicinsk cellbiologi; Medical Cell Biology;

    Sammanfattning : Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), is a potent connective tissue cell mitogen and chemoattractant which binds to two structurally related receptors denoted PDGF α- and β- receptors. Upon binding of PDGF to the receptor, signaling molecules containing Src Homology 2 (SH2) domains are recruited to the activated receptor and mediate propagation of the signal. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Apoptosis and tumor cell death pathways in response to HAMLET

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Laboratory Medicine, Lund University

    Författare :Oskar Hallgren; [2005]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Biomedicinska vetenskaper allmänt ; General biomedical sciences; Klinisk biologi; apoptosis; autophagy; alpha-lactalbumin; Clinical biology; programmed cell death; HAMLET; cell cycle;

    Sammanfattning : HAMLET (Human alpha-lactalbumin made lethal to tumor cells) is a molecular complex of alpha-lactalbumin and oleic acid, that induces programmed cells death in tumor cells but leaves healthy differentiated cells unaffected. It has a broad anti-tumor activity as more than 40 cell lines from different origin are sensitive. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Who is killing whom? Hantaviruses vs programmed cell death

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Karolinska Institutet, Dept of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology

    Författare :Shawon Gupta; Karolinska Institutet.; Karolinska Institutet.; [2016]

    Sammanfattning : Hantaviruses belong to the Bunyaviridae family of negative stranded RNA viruses. They carry a tri-segmented genome and consist of four structural proteins. The four structural proteins are two glycoproteins Gn and Gc, a nucleocapsid (N) protein and an RNA-dependent RNA-polymerase. LÄS MER
