1. Divergence, admixture and continuity in the human past : Demographic inference using ancient and modern genomes
Sammanfattning : Demographic forces shaping the genetic variation we observe today can include population divergences, admixture events and continuity through time. The advancement of high-throughput sequencing technologies, together with developments in molecular and bio-informatics methods, mean the number of ancient genomes available for inference has risen steeply. 2. Ecology and conservation of the moth Dysauxes ancilla

3. Plant species diversity in semi-natural grasslands. Effects of scale, landscape structure and habitat history
Sammanfattning : The thesis examines the impact of present and past landscape structure, habitat history and management on different aspects of present-day plant species diversity in fragmented semi-natural grasslands in Sweden and in Estonia. Species diversity was significantly associated with present and/or past grassland connectivity in the majority of the studies in the thesis. LÄS MER

5. Den rotfaste bonden - myt eller verklighet? Brukaransvar i Ramkvilla socken 1620-1820
Sammanfattning : For how many years was a farmer responsible for running a farm in Sweden’s old peasant society’? This is the question that underpins my research into life in Ramkvilla parish in the province of Småland for two hundred years (1623–1819). By conducting a detailed study of farm practice at the individual level, I have been able to analyse a complex theme that touches upon the issues of responsibility for work and taxes, relationships between the generations and sexes, and the crises of agrarian society.
