    Sammanfattning : Based on an analysis of the roles of alterity and the Other in six Québécois novels published between 1989 and 2002, this study examines how the identity of these first-person narrators is formed through processes of dysphoria, migration and elaborations of mutual space in what will be called practices of Here.
