    Sammanfattning : Based on the concept of path-dependence, this thesis examines regional representatives’ notion of rationalizations in three Swedish regions. In the provinces of Skåne and Västra Götaland the responsibility for welfare issues like health care, regional development, communications, and culture, is appointed to the two organizations Region Skåne and Västra Götalandsregionen.     Sammanfattning : Organic molecules adsorbed on inorganic substrates are the topics of interest in this thesis. Interfaces of this kind are found in dye sensitized solar cells that convert solar energy to electricity, a promising environmentally friendly energy source which might provide a route to replace fossil fuels.
