    Författare :Caroline Blomquist; Tommy Olsson; Elin Chorell; Per-Arne Svensson; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Postmenopausal women; Paleolithic diet; randomized diet intervention; fat metabolism; low-grade inflammation; circulating fatty acids; diet validation; obesity; insulin resistance; Postmenopausala kvinnor; Paleolitisk kost; randomiserad kostintervention; fettmetabolism; fetma; låggradig inflammation; cirkulerande fettsyror; kostvalidering; fetma; insulin resistens; medicin; Medicine;

    Sammanfattning : BackgroundObesity, in particular abdominal adiposity, is associated with elevated fatty acids and pro-inflammatory adipokines, which are linked to ectopic fat storage and insulin resistance. 2. 7. Towards a detailed understanding of the red blood cell storage lesion : and its consequences for in vivo survival following transfusion

    Författare :Andreas Hult; Christer Malm; Per-Arne Oldenborg; Martin L. Olsson; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Red blood cell; erythrocyte; transfusion; macrophage; phagocytosis; storage lesion; eryptosis; Class A scavenger receptor; transfusion medicine; transfusionsmedicin;

    Sammanfattning : Red blood cells (RBCs) are vital for oxygen delivery to tissues and constitute the vast majority of all cells in blood. After leaving the red bone marrow as mature cells, RBCs have a lifespan of approximately 120 days before they are removed from the circulation by macrophages, mainly in the spleen and liver. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Tidens tröskel : Uppbrott och nostalgi i skandinavisk litteratur kring sekelskiftet 1900

    Sammanfattning : The biting midges (family Ceratopogonidae) is one of the most species rich amongst the biting flies (Diptera) and has been recorded from most parts of the world. The species are mostly known for their capability to act as vectors for several important diseases, which have helped in shaping the focus to one of its genera, Culicoides Latreille, 1809. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Analysis of shear walls for multi-storey timber buildings
