  1. 1. Aesthetics of being together

    Författare :Stoffel Kuenen; Erik Stolterman; Johan Redström; Dag Svanæs; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; design; interaction design; design theory; aesthetics; aesthetics of being together; aesthetics of interaction; design practices; design research practice; research through design; practice based research; constructive design research; social media; technological mediation; social platforms; digital interactions; social interaction; group interaction; social dynamics; perceptual crossing; intersubjectivity; Aesthetics; estetik; design; design;

    Sammanfattning : Design deals with matters of aesthetics. Historically, aesthetics in industrial design refers to the designed artifact: aesthetics of objects. When designed artifacts include digital technologies, aesthetics in design refers to what happens between people and artifacts as well: aesthetics of interaction. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Modelo para promoção da mobilidade urbana ativa por bicicleta: uma abordagem do design de serviços para o comportamento sustentável. (Model for promoting active urban mobility by bicycle: a service design approach for sustainable behaviour)

    Författare :Gheysa Prado; Universidade Federal do Parana; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; bicycle; urban mobility; active mobility; design for sustainable behaviour; behaviour change; service design; sustainable urban mobility;

    Sammanfattning : The population growth associated with an accelerated urbanization process - with more than 50% global people living in cities - are weighting negatively on social and ambiental developing aspects. Among the compromised areas is the urban mobility, where the priority has been given to motorized ways of transports other than active mobility. LÄS MER

  3. 3. E-Government Service Evaluation in Rwanda : A Design Perspective

    Författare :Solange Mukamurenzi; Åke Grönlund; Sirajul M. Islam; Jeremy Rose; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Design science research; e-government; e-government service evaluation; information systems artifact; Least Developed Countries LDC ; Rwanda; Sub-Saharan Africa; user involvement;

    Sammanfattning : Rwanda has embraced e-government. As the first step of implementation, services are being developed and provided online. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Architectural prototypes : modes of design development and architectural practice

    Författare :Jonas Runberger; Katja Grillner; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; architecture theory; design theory; prototype; performance; effect; affect; architectural design project; parametric model; design solution space; fabrication; production; industrial process; research by design; digital practice; projective practice; generative components; krets; parcel; splinegraft; urbantoys v.2; informed modularity; Architecture; Arkitektur;

    Sammanfattning : This licentiate thesis is design driven, partly based on case studies in the form of experimental design projects developed mainly within the research and design collective Krets. It constitutes the first half of a PhD project that studies new technologies and techniques within design processes and the production of architecture, especially in relation to collaborative models. 5. 5. Fundamentals of a Methodology for Predictive Design Analysis

    Författare :Martin Eriksson; Innovation; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Predictive design analysis; Generic design analysis process model; Confidence appraisal activities; Computer-based design analysis; Engineering design; Integration;

    Sammanfattning : The rapid development of computer-based design analysis tools and methods such as the finite element method (FEM) within computational structural mechanics (CSM), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and multi-body systems (MBS) during recent decades has fundamentally changed the way in which products are designed and developed. Among the many advantages observed in industrial practice, one can mention improved understanding of product properties and behavior, the possibility to optimize critical design parameters and to optimize parts as well as the entire product at a system level, the possibility to explore a design space during the synthesis activity, and a decrease of the need for physical testing and thus of the number of physical prototypes needed.
