1. Topology Meets Frustration : Exact Solutions for Topological Surface States on Geometrically Frustrated Lattices
Sammanfattning : One of the main features of topological phases is the presence of robust boundary states that are protected by a topological invariant. Famous examples of such states are the chiral edge states of a Chern insulator, the helical edge states of a two-dimensional Z2 insulator, and the Fermi arcs of Weyl semimetals. LÄS MER
2. Solvable Topological Boundaries
Sammanfattning : The hallmark of topological phases of matter is the presence of robust boundary states. In this dissertation, a formalism is developed with which analytical solutions for these states can be straightforwardly obtained by making use of destructive interference, which is naturally present in a large family of lattice models. 3. Kunst og nasjon : Brytninger i kunstsynet i Norge 1750–1905
Sammanfattning : The thesis examines the art theoretical discourse, in Norway, from the mid eighteenth century up to 1905. The objective of the study has been to identify and analyse the most important art theoretical positions in treatises and other programmatic texts and works of art. LÄS MER
4. Gefiolierte blüte kunst : Eine kognitionslinguistisch orientierte Untersuchung zur Metaphorik in Frauenlobs Marienleich
Sammanfattning : Heinrich of Meißen, also known as Frauenlob († 1318), is a central figure in Middle High German literature. As is evident from its early reception, his work was highly admired in the middle ages. In research literature, however, his ‘obscure’ poetry initially was faced with a lack of understanding. LÄS MER
5. Die Kunst die Zukunft zu erfinden : Selbstrationalität, asymmetrische Information und Selbstorganisation in einer wissensintensiven professionellen Non Profit Organisation
Sammanfattning : This dissertation focuses on predictability problems regarding the behaviour of the professional librarians in public-, school- and research libraries in specific crucial situations. The material was obtained by observations/participations (over 10 years) in the daily work in Swedish libraries by non-structured interviews and “free” discussions with librarians and library visitors.
