  1. 1. Die Kunst die Zukunft zu erfinden : Selbstrationalität, asymmetrische Information und Selbstorganisation in einer wissensintensiven professionellen Non Profit Organisation

    Författare :Detlef Quast; Per Flensburg; Hans-Erik Nissen; Växjö universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; asymmetric information; complexity theory; evolutionary processes; deterministic chaos; informatics; information theory; librarians; organization theory; self-rationality; self-organization; Informatics; Informatik;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation focuses on predictability problems regarding the behaviour of the professional librarians in public-, school- and research libraries in specific crucial situations. The material was obtained by observations/participations (over 10 years) in the daily work in Swedish libraries by non-structured interviews and “free” discussions with librarians and library visitors. 3. 3. Datafication in Public Health Surveillance : Making Authoritative Accounts

    Författare :Martin Stojanov; Mats Edenius; Claes Thorén; Eivor Oborn; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Datafication; public health; authority; sociomateriality; care; valuation; design ethnography; influenza surveillance; Information Systems; Informationssystem;

    Sammanfattning : The data traces we increasingly leave behind through interactions with information technology are being integrated into public health practice for continuous real-time monitoring and decision-making in a process of datafication. While previous research suggests there are challenges in producing and moving representations, datafication relies on reusing data primarily intended for a different purpose. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Optimal stopping, incomplete information, and stochastic games

    Författare :Yuqiong Wang; Erik Ekström; Sören Christensen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Optimal stopping; sequential analysis; incomplete information; asymmetric information; stochastic filtering; Dynkin games; tug-of-war games; Mathematics; Matematik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis contains six papers on the topics of optimal stopping and stochastic games. Paper I extends the classical Bayesian sequential testing and detection problems for a Brownian motion to higher dimensions. We demonstrate unilateral concavity of the cost function and present its structural properties through various examples. LÄS MER
