  2. 17. Spontaneous Movements during Sleep Guide Spinal Self-organization: Formation and Expression of a Memory Trace

    Författare :Per Petersson; Neurofysiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Neurologi; neuropsychology; Neurology; long-term memory; somatosensory; receptive field; learning; sensorimotor; developmental; neurophysiology; neurofysiologi; neuropsykologi;

    Sammanfattning : During development, information about the three-dimensional shape and mechanical properties of the body is laid down in the synaptic connectivity of sensorimotor systems through adaptive mechanisms. In spinal reflex systems, this enables the fast transformation of complex sensory information into adequate correction of movements. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Quality of life in patients with cronical lower limb ischaemia: Before and after revascularisation

    Författare :Rosemarie Klefsgård; Institutionen för hälsovetenskaper; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasti; By-Pass; critical ischaemia; Intermittent claudication; Sence of Coherence; Short Form 36; Quality of life; Nottingham Health Profile; traumatologi; ortopedi; Kirurgi; traumatology; orthopaedics; Surgery; Validity; Responsiveness; Effect Size; Outcome;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to assess quality of life in patients with varying degrees of lower limb ischaemia before and after revascularisation, to assess quality of life in relation to the degree of ischaemia and the respondents’ sense of coherence (SOC) and in comparison with a healthy control group, and to compare two different quality of life instruments regarding their usefulness as outcome measures. Patients were assessed using the Nottingham Health Profile (NHP) and the SOC scale before and six months after successful revascularisation and compared with 102 healthy controls. LÄS MER

  4. 19. On Pressure Regulation of the Middle Ear

    Författare :Marianne Brattmo; allergi och livskvalitet Laryngoesofagologi; []

    Sammanfattning : The middle ear (ME) pressure is regulated by gas diffusion over the ME mucosa and pressure equalizations via the Eustachian tube (ET). Disturbance in the regulation of ME pressure is believed to contribute to the development of chronic ear diseases. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Influence of lifestyle behaviours on bone mineral density among young healthy women: A two-year study. A Tentative Salutary Model

    Författare :Carina Elgán; Institutionen för hälsovetenskaper; []

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this prospective observational study with a salutogenic approach was to investigate bone mineral density (BMD) and BMD changes in the heel bone, in a group of healthy women, in relation to physiological factors and lifestyle behaviours over a two-year period as well as investigating the women’s view of their lifestyle behaviours. Data were collected in 1999 (T1) and 2001 (T2). LÄS MER
