1. Improving Wood Fuel Pellets for Household Use : Perspectives on Quality, Efficiency and Environment
Sammanfattning : Bioenergy is one of many contributors to reducing the use of fossil fuels in order to mitigate climate change by decreasing CO2-emissions, and the potential for biofuels are large. The wood fuel pellets are a refined biofuel made of sawdust, which is dried and compressed to achieve improved fuel and transportation properties. LÄS MER
2. Cost efficency of nonresponse rate reduction efforts : an evaluation approach
Sammanfattning : Nonresponse, the failure to obtain complete measurement on all sample elements, is an increasing problem in sample surveys. Efforts to reduce the nonresponse rate are expensive and their effect may not be as desired. LÄS MER
3. How can consumables be made more resource efficient? Environmental and resource assessment of measures
Sammanfattning : The global population growth paired with increasing consumption per capita puts resource efficiency and sustainability on the political agenda. Consequently, the need for resource-efficient and sustainable products, including consumables, is expected to increase in the future. LÄS MER
4. Tekniken i kvinnornas händer : Hushållsarbete och hushållsteknik under tjugo- och trettiotalen

5. Mapping Primary Production for the West African Sahel with Satellite Data
Sammanfattning : A light Use Efficiency (LUE) model is developed that allows the mapping of total growing season Gross Primary Production (GPP) for the West African Sahel, using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) together with other data. Image quality may be poor in monthly NDVI maximum value composites as shown by an improved geostatistical noise estimation technique. LÄS MER
