1. Mapping Primary Production for the West African Sahel with Satellite Data
Sammanfattning : A light Use Efficiency (LUE) model is developed that allows the mapping of total growing season Gross Primary Production (GPP) for the West African Sahel, using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) together with other data. Image quality may be poor in monthly NDVI maximum value composites as shown by an improved geostatistical noise estimation technique. LÄS MER
2. High cell density perfusion process development for antibody producing Chinese Hamster Ovary cells
Sammanfattning : Perfusion operation mode is currently under fast expansion in mammalian cell based manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals, not only for labile drug protein but also for stable proteins such as monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). Perfusion mode can advantageously offer a stable cell environment, long-term production with high productivity and consistent product quality. LÄS MER
3. Near infrared spectroscopy for assessing oxygenation and hemodynamics in the upper extremities of healthy subjects and patients with work-related muscle pain
Sammanfattning : The prevalence of work-related muscle pain (WRMP) is large in the general population in the industrialized world. Despite significant advances over recent years in some research areas, the mechanisms of why WRMP occurs and the pathophysiological mechanisms behind the disorders are still unclear. LÄS MER
4. Lumbar muscle fatigue and recovery : evaluation of electromyography in patients with long-term low-back pain and in healthy subjects
Sammanfattning : Background: Lumbar muscle function is considered to be an important component of longterm low- back pain. The change in the median frequency of the power spectrum of the electromyographic (EMG) signal is commonly used to estimate muscle fatigue. LÄS MER
5. Studies on the antiproliferative action of interferon : effects on proteins synthesized in the G1 and S phase of the cell cycle in 2 anchorage-dependent cell lines
Sammanfattning : Interferons (IFNs) are a class of structurally related proteins first discovered to be produced by virus-infected cells. By now, several other inducing agents have been described. LÄS MER
