  1. 11. Modulation of PDGF receptors function by posttranslational modifications

    Författare :Kehuan Wang; Carl-Henrik Heldin; Johan Lennartsson; Natalia Papadopoulos; Jean-Baptiste Demoulin; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; PDGF signaling; receptor tyrosine kinase; ubiquitination; DUB; STAT3; SUMO; SUMOylation; cleavage; autophagy; SQSTM1 p62; LC3; GABARAP; bafilomycin A1; Medicinsk biokemi; Medical Biochemistry; Medical Cell Biology; Medicinsk cellbiologi;

    Sammanfattning : The platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFRs) play important roles in multiple cellular processes including cell survival, cell growth and cell migration. Dysregulation of PDGFRs causes aberrant PDGF signaling, which leads to various diseases. LÄS MER

  2. 12. RhoGTPase Signaling in Cell Polarity and Gene Regulation

    Författare :Ann-Sofi Johansson; Pontus Aspenström; Johan Lennartsson; Christer Larsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cell and molecular biology; RhoGTPase; Par6; cell polarity; aPKC; epithelial cell; PDGF; gene regulation; microarray; Cell- och molekylärbiologi; Cell and molecular biology; Cell- och molekylärbiologi;

    Sammanfattning : RhoGTPases are proteins working as molecular switches as they bind and hydrolyze GTP. They are in their active conformation when GTP is bound and are then able to interact with their effector proteins, which relay the downstream signaling. When the GTP is hydrolyzed to GDP, the RhoGTPase is inactivated. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Shb and Its Homologues: Signaling in T Lymphocytes and Fibroblasts

    Författare :Cecilia Lindholm; Hamid Band; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cell biology; Shb; T cell receptor; IL-2 receptor; PDGF receptor; cell signaling; adapter proteins; LAT; Vav; PLC-g1; SLP-76; JAK1; JAK3; Jurkat cells; T cells; NK cells; Apoptosis.; Cellbiologi; Cell biology; Cellbiologi; medicinsk cellbiologi; Medical Cell Biology;

    Sammanfattning : Stimulation of the T cell receptor (TCR) induces tyrosine phosphorylation of numerous intracellular proteins, leading to activation of the interleukin-2 (IL-2) gene in T lymphocytes. Shb is a ubiquitously expressed adapter protein, with the ability to associate with the T cell receptor and several signaling proteins in T cells, including: the TCR ζ-chain, LAT, PLC-γ1, Vav, SLP-76 and Gads. 4. 14. The role of PDGF-A in lung development, injury and repair

    Författare :Leonor Gouveia; Johanna Andrae; Christer Betsholtz; Brigid Hogan; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Lung; organogenesis; PDGF; signalling pathway; development;

    Sammanfattning : The developmental processes that take place during embryogenesis depend on a great number of proteins that are important for cell-to-cell communication. Platelet-derived growth factors are known to be important for epithelial-mesenchymal interactions during development and organogenesis. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Specific signaling through heteromeric PDGF receptor complexes

    Författare :Simon Ekman; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cell and molecular biology; Cell- och molekylärbiologi; Cell and molecular biology; Cell- och molekylärbiologi; molekylär cellbiologi; Molecular Cellbiology;

    Sammanfattning : Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) is a potent mitogen and chemoattractant for mesenchymal cells and exert its effect by binding to two structurally related receptor tyrosine kinases, denoted α- and β-receptors. PDGF binding induces dimerization of its receptors, both homo-and heterodimerization, leading to their autophosphorylation on tyrosine residues and binding of downstream signaling molecules. LÄS MER
