  1. 1. Characterization of Endocrine Cells and Tumours in the Stomach

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Apostolos V. Tsolakis; Eva T. Janson; Mats Stridsberg; Guida M. Portela-Gomes; Ola Nilsson; [2008]
    Nyckelord :Oncology; ECL cells; ghrelin cells; gastric endocrine tumours; VMAT-2; ghrelin; obestatin; HDC; U-MeImAA; Onkologi;

    Sammanfattning : Enterochromaffin-like (ECL) and ghrelin cells, in the human gastric mucosa and in gastric endocrine tumours (GETs), were subclassified with respect to immunohistochemical reaction vs. vesicular monoamine transporter 2 (VMAT-2), ghrelin/obestatin, and histidine decarboxylase (HDC). 2. 2. Cholesterol in T cells homeostasis, plasma membrane organization and signaling

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : The Wenner-Gren Institute, Stockholm University

    Författare :Saleemulla Mahammad; Ingela Parmryd; Thomas Harder; [2010]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Plasma membrane; T cells; Cholesterol; Lipid rafts; Membrane organization; Cholesterol homeostasis; cholesteryl esters; NATURAL SCIENCES Biology Cell and molecular biology Cell biology; NATURVETENSKAP Biologi Cell- och molekylärbiologi Cellbiologi; Cell Biology; cellbiologi;

    Sammanfattning : The plasma membrane of eukaryotic cells contains cholesterol and glycosphingolipids enriched nanodomains known as lipid rafts; which are believed to exist in a liquid ordered (lo) state. Methyl-beta-cyclodextrin (MBCD) is used to deplete cellular cholesterol and a widespread assumption is that MBCD preferentially targets cholesterol in lipid rafts. LÄS MER

  4. 4. T-cell responses to Helicobacter pylori in humans and a possible role of regulatory T cells

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : The Wenner-Gren Institute, Stockholm University

    Författare :Anna Lundgren; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2004]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Helicobacter pylori; mucosal immunology; stomach; duodenum; asymptomatic; duodenal ulcer; gastric adenocarcinoma; T cells; regulatory T cells; dendritic cells; T-cell recruitment;

    Sammanfattning : Helicobacter pylori colonize the stomach and areas of gastric metaplasia in the duodenum. The bacteria induce both local and systemic immune responses, but despite this, the infection normally persists for life and causes chronic gastritis in all infected subjects and peptic ulcers or gastric cancer in 10-20% of infected individuals. 5. 5. Approaches to analyses of cytotoxic cells. And studies of their role in H. pylori infection

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : The Wenner-Gren Institute, Stockholm University

    Författare :Josef Azem; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2005]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Helicobacter pylori; mucosal immunology; stomach; duodenum; asymptomatic; duodenal ulcer; gastric adenocarcinoma; NK cells; T cells; B cells; dendritic cells; cytotoxic;

    Sammanfattning : Helicobacter pylori infection causes chronic gastritis that may progress to peptic ulcers or gastric adenocarcinoma and thereby cause major world-wide health problems. Previous studies have shown that CD4+ T cells and the production of the cytokine IFN- × are important components of the immune response to H. pylori in humans. LÄS MER
