16. QCM-based sensing using biological and biomimetic interfaces
Sammanfattning : The objective of this thesis was to explore novel approaches for studying molecular recognition at biological and biomimetic surfaces using the quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) biosensor technique. The four studies aimed to: determinewhether nurse anesthetists have access to, knowledge of, and adhere torecommended guidelines to maintain normal body temperature during theperioperative period (I), describe the patientʼs lived experience of warmth andcoldness in connection with surgery (II), describe the nurse anesthetistʼsperceptions of heat conservation measures in connection with surgery (III),describe the surgical team memberʼs experience of communication regardingheat conservation measures during surgery (IV). 18. Si negative electrodes for Li-ion batteries : Aging mechanism studies by electrochemistry and photoelectron spectroscopy
Sammanfattning : This thesis is focusing on the challenges when using Si as a possible new negative electrode material in Li-ion batteries. The overall aim is to contribute to a general understanding of the processes in the Si electrode, to identify aging mechanisms, and to evaluate how they influence the cycling performance. LÄS MER
19. LiFeSO4F as a Cathode Material for Lithium-Ion Batteries : Synthesis, Structure, and Function
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, two recently discovered polymorphs of LiFeSO4F, adopting a tavorite- and triplite-type structure, were investigated as potential candidates for use as cathode materials in Li-ion batteries. The studies aimed at enriching the fundamental understanding of the synthetic preparations, structural properties, and electrochemical functionality of these materials. LÄS MER
