  1. 26. Protein Microarrays Based on Single Framework Recombinant Antibody Fragments (SINFABS) - Catcher and Carrier - A Crucial Combination

    Författare :Cornelia Steinhauer; Institutionen för immunteknologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Immunology; serology; transplantation; Immunologi; serologi; probe; coupling chemistry; solid support; stability; scFv; antibody microarray; protein microarray; Biotechnology; Bioteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Antibody-based microarrays are among the novel class of rapidly evolving proteomic technologies. In recent years, antibody microarrays have emerged as a unique tool for high-throughput protein expression profiling with great promise within biomedicine and a wide range of potential applications, including disease diagnostics and biomarker discovery. 2. 27. Transforming Growth Factor-b, Regulatory functions on normal lymphocytes and tumor outgrowth Regulatory functions on normal lymphocytes and tumor outgrowth

    Författare :Åsa Schiött; Institutionen för immunteknologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; TGF-b; monocyte; rat; costimulation; Th2; ERK; tumor; TIL; Immunology; serology; Immunologi; transplantation; T-lymphocyte; serologi;

    Sammanfattning : Transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-b) is a well-characterised growth regulatory factor, which acts on most cell types. This thesis has focused on the regulatory roles of TGF-b on normal lymphocytes. One interesting finding is that TGF-b acts both costimulatory and inhibitory on T-lymphocytes. LÄS MER

  3. 28. Insights into weak affinity antibody-antigen interactionsStudies using affinity chromatography and optical biosensor

    Författare :Magnus Strandh; Institutionen för immunteknologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Bioteknik; Biotechnology; immunosensor; biosensor; weak affinity chromatography; cross-reactivity; antibody-antigen interaction; weak affinity; biomolecular recognition; Immunology; serology; transplantation; Immunologi; serologi;

    Sammanfattning : Molecular recognition and interaction is fundamental for the function of biological systems. The properties of the interacting biomolecules dictate the type of forces involved and the strength and dynamics of the interaction. Many interactions are very strong whereas others exhibit weak affinity. LÄS MER

  4. 29. Potential immunoregulatory role of T and dendritic cells in cancer : Investigations based on transcriptional analysis

    Författare :Milad Abolhalaj; Institutionen för immunteknologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Dendritic cells; T cells; head and neck cancer; acute myeloid leukemia; bladder cancer; T cell exhaustion;

    Sammanfattning : Cancer is a complex disease with various genetic and epigenetic driving factors. Cancer cells form a favored microenvironment to sustain their uncontrolled behavior leading to abnormal growth. With standard treatment including chemotherapy, relapse risk is high due to the resistance that cancer cells can develop against chemotherapy agents. LÄS MER

  5. 30. Studies of T- and B-cells for the generation of human antigen specific antibodies

    Författare :Eva Andersson; Institutionen för immunteknologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; germinal center; CD4 CD57 T cells; mucin 1; in vitro immunization; human class switched antibodies; Biotechnology; Bioteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Human antibodies generated in vitro may be highly valuable for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. For a long time most human antibodies produced in vitro have been of the IgM isotype with rather low affinities. In this thesis a method for production of IgG switched antigen-specific human antibodies is presented. LÄS MER
