    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to evaluate ceramic materials for drug delivery drugs applications. Three delivery routes were investigated; abuse-deterrent oral formulation, inhalation, and novel ceramic crystals with drug entrapped. A geopolymer matrix was developed in order to withstand non-medical abuse such as crushing, snorting, extraction etc. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This monograph studies the outcomes of transactional analysis (TA) psychotherapy with addicts of heavy drugs in long time residential treatment (one year or more) at Swedish therapeutic communities (TCs) during the 1990s. Two sets of data were obtained: The primary material concerned results of approximately one year of TA-therapy; the secondary specific TA-therapy results versus total mileau therapy results. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Background: Prescription sedatives are efficient in the treatment of anxiety and sleeping disorders, but are associated with a risk of misuse and dependence, as well as an increased risk of accidents, injuries and overdoses, both in the general population and especially in individuals with other substance misuse. The present thesis aims to investigate prescription sedative use and misuse in two kinds of samples - in the general population, with focus on its association with subjective health and quality life, and in the subpopulation of individuals with opioid dependence, with focus on treatment outcome in opioid maintenance treatment and mortality.
