  2. 12. New Technology-Based Firms and Industrial Dynamics Evidence from the Technological System of Biomaterials in Sweden, Ohio and Massachusetts

    Författare :Annika Rickne; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; firm development; policy; industrial dynamics; technological system; growth; connectivity; management; biomaterial; new technology-based firm; co-evolution;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to enhance the understanding of the relationship between industrial dynamics and new technology-based firms (henceforth NTBFs). For a population of biomaterials NTBFs in Sweden, Ohio and Massachusetts, we have analyzed two facets of this issue. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Early development of the olfactory placode and early rostrocaudal patterning of the caudal neural tube

    Författare :Esther Maier; Lena Gunhaga; Fernando Giraldez; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; olfactory placode; caudal neural tube; Wnt; FGF; RA; BMP; Notch; patterning; Developmental biology; Utvecklingsbiologi; molekylärbiologi; Molecular Biology;

    Sammanfattning : The development of the nervous system is a complex process. Cell divisions, cell differentiation and signalling interactions must be tightly regulated. To comprehend the mature nervous system, we have to understand its assembly during development. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Abstract The aim with this study is to examine how practicing history teachers in upper secondary school deal with historical thinking concepts. The three main questions are: which concepts do teachers use in their courses and when do they use them? How can teachers’ use of different historical thinking concepts be described in terms of reconstruction and construction? What factors influence teachers when they work with historical thinking concepts? To answer these questions, the material, for example tests, lesson plans and notes of seven teachers has been analyzed. 5. 15. Specification of the lens and olfactory placodes and dorsoventral patterning of the telencephalon

    Författare :My Sjödal; Juha Partanen; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :telencephalon; olfactory; lens; BMP; RA; FGF; Wnt; development; placode; gradient; chick; nervous system; dorsoventral; medicinsk utvecklings- och neurobiologi; Developmental Neurosciences;

    Sammanfattning : The vertebrate nervous system is a highly complex and intriguing structure with diverse functions. To understand the functional nervous system, we first have to be aware of how it is assembled during development. LÄS MER
