  1. 21. Matematiskt gestaltande i förskolan

    Författare :Kerstin Bäckman; Marita Lindahl; Christina Gustafsson; Högskolan i Gävle; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; mathematical formation; preschool; teaching; learning studies; here-and-now-situations; variation; the didactics of mathematics; matematiskt gestaltande; förskola; undervisning; lärstudier; här-ochnu-situationer; variation; matematikdidaktik;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of the thesis is to study how mathematics is experienced and used in preschool children’s activities and how preschool teachers frame their teaching of mathematical content. The studies include analyses of children’s actions in different activities from a mathematical perspective and preschool teachers’ intentions with and their teaching of mathematics. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Riemannian Manifold-Based Modeling and Classification Methods for Video Activities with Applications to Assisted Living and Smart Home

    Författare :Yixiao Yun; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; assisted living; Riemannian manifold; fall detection; smart homes; activities of daily living ADL ; video tracking; activity classification;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis mainly focuses on visual-information based daily activity classification, anomaly detection, and video tracking through using visual sensors. The main reasons for adopting visual-information based methods are due to: (i) vision plays a major role in recognition/classification of activities which is a fundamental issue in a human-centric system; (ii) visual sensor-based analysis may possibly offer high performance with minimum disturbance to individuals' daily lives. 4. 24. A teacher-centred design system to integrate digital technologies in secondary mathematics classrooms

    Författare :Miguel Perez; Marianna Bosch; John Monaghan; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Design; digital technologies; praxeology; teachers; professional development; inquiry systems; agile educational design; Mathematical Education; Matematikdidaktik;

    Sammanfattning : Despite efforts made by teachers and researchers, studies show that digital technologies have not improved conditions for teaching and learning mathematics to the degree expected by stakeholders inside as well as outside the school system.In this research, the problem of the integration of digital technologies is addressed through the perspective of design. 5. 25. Non-invasive Functional Neuroimaging for Localizing Epileptic Brain Activity

    Författare :Yazdan Shirvany; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mathematical Dipole; Finite Element Method; Source localization; Structural Magnetic Resonance Imaging; Forward Problem; Inverse Problem; Particle Swarm Optimization; Non-invasive EEG; Somatosensory Evoked Potentials; Epileptic Spike; Functional Neuroimaging;

    Sammanfattning : Surgical therapy has become an important therapeutic alternative for patients with medically intractable epilepsy. Correct and anatomically precise localization of the epileptic focus, preferably with non-invasive methods, is the main goal of the pre-surgical epilepsy diagnosis to decide if resection of brain tissue is possible.
