  1. 1. Riemannian Manifold-Based Modeling and Classification Methods for Video Activities with Applications to Assisted Living and Smart Home

    Författare :Yixiao Yun; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; NATURAL SCIENCES; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; assisted living; Riemannian manifold; fall detection; smart homes; activities of daily living ADL ; video tracking; activity classification;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis mainly focuses on visual-information based daily activity classification, anomaly detection, and video tracking through using visual sensors. The main reasons for adopting visual-information based methods are due to: (i) vision plays a major role in recognition/classification of activities which is a fundamental issue in a human-centric system; (ii) visual sensor-based analysis may possibly offer high performance with minimum disturbance to individuals' daily lives. 3. 3. Technology-assisted child sexual abuse

    Författare :Malin Joleby; Göteborgs universitet; Göteborgs universitet; Gothenburg University; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; technology-assisted child sexual abuse; offender strategies; psychological health; trauma; online child sexual abuse; children’s experiences;

    Sammanfattning : Internet communication technology has created new ways for adults to sexually abuse children, and as the world becomes more and more digitalized and children are increasingly connected, reports about online child sexual abuse are increasing. The aim of this thesis was to broaden the thus far limited knowledge about technology-assisted child sexual abuse (TA-CSA) and its consequences by using mixed methods to analyze cases (Study I: N = 122, Study II: N = 98) from Swedish courts (children aged 7–17, offenders aged 16–69), and by performing in-depth interviews with victims of TA-CSA (Study III: N = 7, aged 7–13 at the first occasion of TA-CSA, aged 17–24 at the time of the interview). 4. 4. A Study on Endoscopic Live Donor Nephrectomy and Elevated Intraperitoneal Pressure

    Författare :Pernilla Lindström; Bengt Rippe; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Surgery; Candesartan; cardiac output; glomerular filtration rate; hand-assisted laparoscopy; hand-assisted retroperitoneoscopy; kidney; living donor nephrectomy; morbidity; pneumoperitoneum; rat; renal transplantation; Kirurgi; Surgery; Kirurgi; Surgery; kirurgi;

    Sammanfattning : Live donor nephrectomy (LDN) is a unique surgical challenge where surgery is performed on healthy individuals. It is of great importance to keep the morbidity of donors as low as possible, as well as harvesting a kidney in optimal condition. Lowering morbidity is the motive for introducing the endoscopic technique in LDN. LÄS MER
