    Sammanfattning : This dissertation examines the correspondence of the 18th-century German authors Anna Louisa Karsch and Johann Wilhelm Ludwig Gleim. The main emphasis of the present study is to demonstrate how readings of Karsch's and Gleim's correspondence shed light on epistolary culture. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this dissertation is to analyze the public music-making by locals in Holmsund 1850—1980, and to explain the great variety of musical forms in hope to thereby illuminate the importance of local music-making for the workers' musical taste, but also how workers' musical aesthetics were affected by a more general working-class culture. The variety of musical forms is explained according to John Blacking's distinction between change of musical system, and variation and innovation within a musical system. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis studies fictional representations of Fyodor Dostoevsky in contemporary biofiction. The aim of the study is to present an intermedial theoretical framework for biofiction, a genre defined as fictional biographical and often metafictional narratives in which a biographical subject serves as the focal point for the story or plays a role integral to the narrative.     Sammanfattning : The purpose of the dissertation is to bring to light and focus upon, through a number of disparate investigations, the socio-cultural ideology and practices expressed in some of the dance events which constitute an echo of the cry implied by the most canonized ballet of the 1900s, Le Sacre du Printemps choreographed in 1913 by Vaslav Nijinsky.
