11. Doppler Velocimetry in the Evaluation of Fetal Well-Being
Sammanfattning : Ultrasound Doppler velocimetry was used to predict fetal well-being. The uterine artery blood velocimetry seemed to be a good predictor of perinatal outcome in high-risk pregnancies and a complement to umbilical artery velocimetry. The fetal middle cerebral artery blood velocimetry might be an early sign of fetal hypoxia. LÄS MER
12. Protein tyrosine kinases in insulin producing cells : Expression and putative importance for beta-cell function
Sammanfattning : Protein tyrosine kinases are of importance for cell replication and differentiation in manysystems. The mechanisms controlling the replication and differentiation of insulin producingcells are unknown. LÄS MER
13. New Aspects of Mast Cell Progenitors in Health and Disease
Sammanfattning : Mast cells are tissue-resident immune cells that are well known for their involvement in asthma and allergy. They originate in the fetal yolk sac, or in the bone marrow. From the bone marrow, they are released as immature progenitors that are transported via the blood circulation to the peripheral tissue, where they mature. LÄS MER
14. The Role of Lhx2 During Organogenesis : - Analysis of the Hepatic, Hematopoietic and Olfactory Systems
Sammanfattning : During embryonic development a variety of tissues and organs such as the lung, eye, and kidney are being formed. The generation of functional organs is regulated by reciprocal cell-cell interactions. Via the secretion of soluble molecules one type of cells affect the fate of their neighboring cells. LÄS MER
15. Role of ion and water channels for lung growth in congenital diaphragmatic hernia
Sammanfattning : Early lung development is based on a continuous cross-talk of growth and transcription factors between the developing lung bud and the surrounding parenchyma. Throughout fetal life, pulmonary growth and differentiation depend on Cl- driven lung liquid secretion. LÄS MER
