  1. 1. Cryogels Based on Crosslinked Cells as Green Biocatalysts for Biotechnology

    Författare :Oksana Zaushitsyna; [2015]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Cells; Crosslinkers; PVA PEI; Immobilization; Biocatalysts; Biobased chemicals; Biotransformation; stress tolerance;

    Sammanfattning : Abstract Due to the finite nature of fossil resources and their environmental impact, such as greenhouse gases and climate change, the bio-based production of chemicals, materials and fuels is the subject of extensive research in industrial biotechnology. Biotransformation and fermentation are considered to be mild, “green” processes that make use of effective and reliable biocatalysts to provide bio-based chemicals. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Biotransformations of Turpentine Constituents Oxygenation and Esterification

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Kemi

    Författare :Marica Lindmark-Henriksson; [2003]
    Nyckelord :Picea abies; Pinaceae; Essential oils composition; Terpene alcohol; Hemiacetal; Hemiacetal ester; TMP-turpentine; Monoterpene; alpha-pinene; beta-pinene; Limonene; Verbenol; Pinocarveol; Borneol; Myrtenol; Suspension cell culture; Biotransformation; ;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes methods to obtain value–addedcompounds from TMP-turpentine obtained from the spruce, Piceaabies. The methodology focuses on biotransformations using twoapproaches: an oxygenation approach (i.e. oxygenation ofterpene hydrocarbons by cell cultures) and an esterificationapproach (i. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Occupational exposure to fluorinated ski wax

    Detta är en avhandling från Örebro : Örebro universitet

    Författare :Helena Nilsson; Jonathan W. Martin; [2012]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Perfluorinated; polyfluorinated; FIS; occupational exposure; ski wax; biotransformation; metabolism; fluorotelomer alcohol; fluorotelomer acid; aerosol; dust; UPLC MS-MS; GC MS-MS; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Per- and polyfluorinated substances (PFAS) are used in the production of ski wax to reduce the friction between the snow and the ski. In this occupational study of ski wax technicians’ exposure to PFAS and particulate aerosol we have collected whole blood (wb) (n =94), air (n =84) and aerosol (n =159) samples at World Cup events from 2007-2011. 4. 4. Bio-based C-3 Platform Chemical: Biotechnological Production and -Conversion of 3-Hydroxypropionaldehyde

    Detta är en avhandling från Lund University

    Författare :Roya Rezaei; [2013]
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Lactobacillus reuteri; 3-hydroxypropionic acid; biotransformation; Glycerol; 3-hydroxypropionaldehyde; In situ complexation;

    Sammanfattning : Demands for efficient, greener, economical and sustainable production of chemicals, materials and energy have led to development of industrial biotechnology as a key technology area to provide such products from bio-based raw materials from agricultural-, forestry- and related industrial residues and by-products. For the bio-based industry, it is essential to develop a number of building blocks or platform chemicals for C2-C6 chemicals and even aromatic chemicals. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Experimental and computational investigation of affinity and selectivity factors in CYP2D6 and CYP3A4 mediated metabolism

    Detta är en avhandling från Lund University

    Författare :Britta Bonn; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2010]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cytochrome P450; in vitro metabolism; biotransformation; computational modeling; drug design;

    Sammanfattning : The assessment of ADME properties and metabolic behavior of a drug is central in drug discovery and drug design. The main target for studies of metabolic properties is the Cytochrome P450 (CYP), which is responsible for the metabolism of a majority of drugs on the market and consequently also involved in many drug-drug interactions.
