    Sammanfattning : From the librettist’s perspective, the traditional working methods which tend to dominate in the creation of new music drama, often result in a situation where the initial intentions are lost along the way. How can we get away from a rigid methodology, where the different professionals involved in the creation of new music drama have to succumb to a procedure which can be likened to a whispering game? A procedure, where the dramatic content, rather than undergoing an emotional enrichment in its transformation into music, often loses the crucial connections to the initial intentions. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : A departing assumption in my work is the idea about a particular kind of conflict inherent in the theatrical line, produced by its situatedness in the specific relational doubt created in the speaking, performing voice and body, a space articulated already in the written line, as writing intended to be spoken. To the inherent self-contradiction in such utterances are added the layers of conscious and unconscious intent, discrepancies and dissonances emerging in relation to those who witness the act of speaking.     Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the functions of prevalent threshold-like spaces such as windows, stairs, doors or balconies in theatre plays from the height of the Romantic era in France (1828-1835). The study coins the concept of « para-espaces » (para-spaces) and elucidates the way they mediate between different divisions of the spatiotemporal structure of a play. LÄS MER
