    Sammanfattning : Why are some wars longer than others? Offense-defense theorists have assumed that wars are shorter and it is more difficult for states to create security when military technology favors the offense and attacking is easier than defending.     Sammanfattning : The thesis deals with "Samfundet Nordens Frihet" ['The Association Scandinavia’s Freedom'], its magazine with the same name, Nordens Frihet, and the circle that constituted the magazine’s editorial committee. Nordens Frihet was founded as a direct consequence of the outbreak of the Finnish Winter War on November 30 1939 and was a very active part of the Swedish Finland Movement. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis contains six papers on the topics of optimal stopping and stochastic games. Paper I extends the classical Bayesian sequential testing and detection problems for a Brownian motion to higher dimensions.
