  1. 1. Fishy behavior persistent effects of early-life exposure to 17α-ethinylestradiol

    Detta är en avhandling från Örebro : Örebro university

    Författare :Kristina Volkova; Örebro universitet.; [2015]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Endocrine disruptors; anxiety; stress behavior; transgenerational effects; 17α-ethinylestradiol; developmental exposure; social behavior; fish; Biology; Biologi;

    Sammanfattning : The synthetic estrogen 17α-ethinylestradiol (EE2) is an endocrine disrupting chemical (EDC) of concern due to its persistent nature and widespread presence in the aquatic environment. In mammals, effects of developmental EDC exposure on reproduction and behavior not only persist to adulthood after discontinued exposure, but are also inherited by several consecutive unexposed generations. 3. 3. Adolescent behavior Links to early-life stress and alcohol in male and female rats

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Stina Lundberg; Erika Roman; Ingrid Nylander; Heidi MB Lesscher; [2020]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Adolescence; alcohol exposure; behavior; corticosterone; dynorphin; early life; endogenous opioid peptides; Met-enkephalin-Arg6Phe7 MEAP ; individual differences; multivariate concentric square field MCSF ; phenotyping; radioimmunoassay; selective breeding for alcohol consumption; voluntary alcohol intake; Farmaceutisk vetenskap; Pharmaceutical Science;

    Sammanfattning : Adolescence is an important developmental phase with large changes in behavior, physiology and neurobiology, which transform an individual from immature child to independent adult. Due to these changes, adolescence is a sensitive period for exposure to environmental factors such as stress and drug exposure; it is also a common age of onset for alcohol consumption as well as several psychiatric disorders. 4. 4. Psychophysiological reactions to experimental stress : relations to pain sensitivity, position sense and stress perception

    Detta är en avhandling från Umeå : Umeå university

    Författare :Marina Heiden; [2006]
    Nyckelord :public health; autonomic activity; cognitive-behavioral training; muscle oxygenation; physical activity; position sense; pressure-pain thresholds; sick leave; stress;

    Sammanfattning : Stress and monotonous work contribute substantially to the development of chronic musculoskeletal disorders. Yet, the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying the process, particularly the involvement of autonomic regulation, remain unclear. LÄS MER
