    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to provide a better understanding of the issues of safe mobility ‎for the elderly population in Sweden. ‎This is achieved first by assessing the geography and patterns of ‎elderly falls at the county level and then by conducting a detailed survey with residents in senior ‎housing to investigate the relationship between indoor and/or outdoor environmental ‎characteristics and elderly safety.     Sammanfattning : This thesis aims to clarify how the merchant networks involved in the trade across the Baltic Sea interplayed with and contributed to create the economic culture of the Baltic Sea region. This is achieved by examining the economic, social, spatial and political aspects of the trade networks in relation to the social organisation of the early modern towns of Stockholm, Lübeck, Malmö and Reval (Tallinn) in the 16th century.     Sammanfattning : This dissertation explores ways in which “queer digital media use” co-produces senses of space, time, and queer being in contemporary Russia. Considering the particular implications of (in)visibility for queer living, and the importance of compartmentalizing conflicting spheres, the study provides a grounded account of queer life lived with and through digital media in a context currently characterized by “anti-gay” sentiments.     Sammanfattning : Reduced independent mobility of blind and low-vision individuals (BLVIs) cause considerable societal cost, burden on relatives, and reduced quality of life for the individuals, including increased anxiety, depression symptoms, need of assistance, risk of falls, and mortality. Despite the numerous electronic travel aids proposed since at least the 1940’s, along with ever-advancing technology, the mobility issues persist. LÄS MER
